Dakota Fence is a growing specialty contractor primarily involved in residential/commercial fence, highway, and commercial playground construction as well as traffic control services.  We provide services to home owners, commercial businesses and government entities.  Our dedicated employees (our “Blue Family”) work from four facilities throughout ND and service five states, with a wider retail presence through our sign manufacturing and distribution businesses. Tractor Trailer Truck Drivers deliver materials and equipment between our four offices and to various job sites. Successful candidates will need to be team players willing to work in other areas of the company during periods of time when there isn’t a need to move freight.   This position is required to load/unload his/her own freight in a safe and efficient manner.  

The principal job duties of this position are:

  • Deliver Fright between our four offices (Fargo, Bismarck, Minot, Williston)
  • Load trailers to ensure a safe load to be sure to follow DOT regulations 
  • Perform Pre-trip and post trip inspection to ensure trucks and trailers are in good working order
  • Ability to run a forklift and Skid-steer for loading trucks 
  • Work with yard and field crews as needed
  • Must be a team player and have a good attitude
  • Assist in other areas as needed - have basic knowledge of the yard layout – be aware of where DFC material, 3D material and tools are stored
  • Participate in biweekly tool box training (safety/training, workload/deadlines, product education/knowledge, etc.)
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervision

  1. Experience with E logs systems 


Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Prior experience driving tractor trailer.  Must have valid CDL Class A with valid medical card.  Working knowledge of DOT regulations.  Ability to plan a load to insure materials arrive safely and undamaged.
